Importance of worship

I feel that worship is needed so that one may interact with Jesus, thus expressing their love towards Him. Many of the older styles of music like the ones listed below show a great importance in the text of the songs. Today that's the same but now there is more emphasis on the sound behind the music. Certain songs today just have certain sound elements that penetrate a persons heart just as well as words can in older songs. I feel that this aspect greatly affects the younger generation.
