In conclusion...
In conclusion, worship music doesn't involve only slow styles of music that emphasizes text over music. It varies from blues, hard rock, gospel, rap, etc. Music alone is an amazing form of worship. I've used bands and singers in this blog who have used their talents and particular styles of music to worship God. They inspire and motivate Christians to run on for God in a powerful way. Some of the bands that I have heard inconcert always make it a point to state their goal, which is to make the name of Jesus Christ known through their music.

Personal Testimony form Ryan Erickson
Ryan Erickson is a friend of mine form Bethel and here is his personal testimony concerning worship: "I view worship as the outward act of giving honor and praise to God. Worship is not just singing in church on Sunday morning. It can be anything that you do to bring glory to God. Worship can be anything from doing the best that I can with my school work, to giving of my tithes and offerings. There are many different form’s of worship that are practiced by many different people, and all of these forms are pleasing to God because they allow the worshiper to come to a closer relationship with Christ through that specific act of worship." -Ryan Erickson
Seven Places

I'm sure that everyone has heard of the band Seven Places and their song Awakening. Well, I wanted to use one of my posts to share with everyone an amazing video that shows images from The Passion of Christ and is backed by the song Awakening. The images alone are enough to bring any saved Christian to tears, but the music moves in an amazing way and it shows perfectly the power that music can have. Click on the picture in the upper left corner to view the video.
Mission of the music
As you see I placed a number of sweet bands and singers on the right side of my blog. I feel that their music has a mission behind it and that mission is simply to draw the world away from music that is not appropriate for Christians, mainly due to its content. I have heard so many people they listen to secular music simply for the music.Well, I think its awesome that many Christians creating this same type of music with text that reflects Jesus and not this world.

All music welcome

I believe that all styles of music can be used for worship and praise on one side of the scales. On the other side of the scales it is also possible for music to be used to worship evil. My point is that all styles of can be turned into praise as long as it is lifting up the name of Jesus! I feel that music was created by God and for God. All music.

Why I chose Worship
I chose to do this topic for my blog because worship is a very important piece to my life. I play guitar at my church, both electric and acoustic, and sometimes bass. I'm somewhat learning how to play the drums (i.e. I have a set and I love banging on them). Music is very important and when I am playing or listening to worship my heart gets a warm fuzzy feeling that is simply addicting. The uniting power behind worship is also very strong.

Psalm 150

It is important always to go to the Bible and Psalm 150 says a lto about worship. It says,"Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalm 150: 3-6)
